SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the College Associate at Pinelake Oxford is to assist the College Pastor and College team in the development and implementation of spiritual, visionary, team-based, value-driven leadership for the college students and servant leaders in a manner consistent with the purpose, vision, core values and major objectives as expressed in Pinelake’s Strategic Ministry Plan.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of Pinelake Church.
  • Assists the Campus Pastor to work toward excellence in all areas of the ministry.
  • As a part of the overall Oxford Campus staff team, participate in campus-wide ministry events and the shepherding of our Oxford Campus faith family.
  • Basic personal responsibilities:
    • Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed.
    • Bible study, prayer, meditation and practicing L3.
    • Maintain proper priorities in your home including your spouse and children (if married and/or with children).
    • Faithfully support the ministries of Pinelake by maintaining wise stewardshipmeasures over the resources entrusted to you.
    • Maintain active participation in community.
    • Reflect a growing awareness and practice of personal Emotional Healthy Spirituality.
    • Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Pinelake Church (Colossians 3:23-24).

SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute One Church College Ministry strategies and playbooks, including but not limited to: freshmen ministry, men’s discipleship, Greek ministry, and PL College worship services.
  • Develop, oversee, and evaluate all components of the College Ministry in coordination with the College Pastor, Campus Pastor, and the Director of College Ministry.
  • Shepherd and support the PL College Lead Team members under your area of responsibility through bi-weekly 1 on 1 meetings, Lead Team Meetings, and ongoing development.
  • Continue the implementation and execution of a healthy, engaging Freshmen Ministry through Freshmen Coordinators and their team.
  • Lead a weekly small group of Freshmen and Sophomore men in line with Pinelake’s Small Group structure and discipleship model.
  • Actively participate and contribute to PL College weekly services as well as mission trips and any additional PL College related ministry objectives throughout the calendar year.
  • Assist in preparation and management of the budget for the college ministry in conjunction with the Campus Pastor.
    Support other ministry areas as necessary in the successful completion of regular worship events and special events.
  • Accomplish administrative duties such as compiling reports, preparing expense reports and completing purchasing orders as specified by church policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and coordinate work with servants and servant leaders.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree minimum; and one to three years of related experience and/or training.
