SUMMARY

The Missions Pastor serves as a spiritual leader with a local heart and global perspective to see missions partnerships and experiences cultivated within the context of the local campus of Pinelake Church. The role is tasked with developing disciples, raising up leaders and equipping servant leaders at Pinelake Church to take the gospel locally, nationally and globally with a vision for reproducing disciples.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of Pinelake Church.
  • Assists the Campus Pastor to work toward excellence in all areas of the ministry.
  • As a part of the overall Reservoir staff team, participate in campus-wide ministry events and the shepherding of our Reservoir faith family.
  • Basic personal responsibilities:
    • Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, meditation and practicing L3.
    • Maintain proper priorities in your home including your spouse and children (if married and/or with children).
    • Faithfully support the ministries of Pinelake by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you.
    • Maintain active participation in community.
    • Reflect a growing awareness and practice of personal Emotional Healthy Spirituality.
    • Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Pinelake Church (Colossians 3:23-24).

SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build relationships within various campus ministries to produce missional discipleship and mobilization
  • In conjunction with the campus pastor, implement and shepherd structures for local missions partnerships and mobilization
  • Lead/Assist the campus pastor in responding to and sheperding congregational care needs within the Oxford Campus
  • Provide direct oversight to campus level ministry partnerships, prison ministry engagement, the Care Center, and member / non-member benevolence.
  • Cast vision towards and recruit servant-leaders to serve on local, national and global mission experiences
  • Collaborate with other Missions Pastors and receiving coaching and resourcing from the One Church Lead Pastor of Missions to ensure ministry alignment and strategic growth
  • Assist the One Church Lead Pastor of Missions in establishing and maintaining healthy ministry partners on state, national, and global levels
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise and coordinate work with staff and servant leaders.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree, and four to six years of related experience and/or training.
