The primary responsibility of the Director of College Ministry is to provide spiritual, visionary, team-based, value-driven leadership for the college ministries in a manner consistent with the vision, mission, values, and major objectives of Pinelake Church. The Director develops, coaches, and resources the College Ministry team by cultivating biblical community, leading strategy, facilitating collaboration, and fostering spiritual development within our College Ministry and their areas of influence.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide vision, strategy, coaching, alignment, and resourcing to the College Ministry across Pinelake campuses.
- Establish goals and objectives for the College Ministry and initiate strategies to fulfill them.
- Relationally shepherd the Pastors and Ministers within the College Ministry to support their spiritual and professional development.
- Lead collaboration and strategy for PL College conferences and special events.
- Collaborate with Pinelake Missions team in mobilizing students for Kingdom impact.
- Shape and supervise servant leader and small group leader development within the College Ministry in keeping with the principles taught in Ephesians 4:11-12.
- Direct, evaluate, and oversee Pinelake’s discipleship process for college students along with outreach, ministry structure, and special events.
- Communicate consistently with the Campus Pastors and Pastors of Ministry regarding the health and development of their respective staff in the College Ministry, as well as the One Church strategy and vision.
- Influence the College Ministry culture by modeling and shepherding toward spiritual, emotional, relational, physical, and organizational health.
- Collaborate with Pinelake’s Resourcing and Communications team regarding curriculum, content, and promotional material for the College Ministry
Educational requirements:
Bachelor's degree minimum, higher education is even better.
OUR STORY:
The story of Pinelake Church began in February of 1971 in Brandon, Mississippi in a mobile chapel in a rural area near The Reservoir. By God's grace and power, our faith family has grown into a dynamic church spanning five cities throughout our state -- Clinton, Madison, Oxford, the Reservoir, and Starkville. Weekly, we serve over 12,000 people, but we celebrate stories of life change one person at a time.
